Pedestrian Safety Assistant

More and more pedestrians are walking without paying attention to their surroundings, glancing only at their cell phones, risking being hit by a car. They are known as "zombie pedestrians."

This problem becomes more apparent when pedestrians reach an intersection with vehicle traffic and don't realize they don't have priority, as occurs at pedestrian crossings regulated by traffic lights.

To solve a growing problem in our towns and cities, AKRA-SEÑAL has developed a pedestrian safety assistant that enhances pedestrian awareness at these points.

The device, installed on the ground aligned transversely to the pedestrian's path, aims to assist and supplement traffic signal information by synchronizing with the signals and being perceived in the background while walking while looking at their cell phones, both at night and in daylight thanks to the high brightness of the signal.
